Dear RMA Parents, Guardians and Students,

We appreciate you being patient as we prepare our district to provide remote and paper-based learning opportunities during this time of COVID-19. In an effort to provide you some guidance, we will be launching the Richard Milburn Academy Home Learning Resource (HLR) webpage. The HLR webpage includes resources and activities organized by content area to help progress your student’s learning moving forward and provide academic structure and consistency to their daily routine while we are closed.

Currently, our focus is on building the infrastructure that will allow us to address the needs of all students. We are working to provide equal learning opportunities through high-technology and low-technology learning options for all RMA students.

This learning opportunity will require RMA staff and the families of RMA students to work closely together. This week we will contact each family to gather information for home-based learning. We will also be launching supplemental resources on the HLR webpage that will be available Friday, March 27, 2020.

Next week we will begin the process for delivering home-based instruction, scheduling remote teacher hours to assist students with their instruction; and begin a technology check-out program for those who do not currently have access to technology.

Again, thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate these uncharted waters, we will get through this together!
